Carbon neutrality, or having a net zero carbon footprint, refers to achieving net zero carbon emissions by balancing a measured amount of carbon released with an equivalent amount sequestered or offset, or buying enough carbon credits to make up the difference. It is used in the context of carbon dioxide releasing processes associated with transportation, energy production, and industrial processes such as production of carbon neutral fuel.
When you shop at Foundation, we offset your carbon footprint for the life of the vehicle! We've utilized LED lighting, extremely efficient LG VRF Heating and Air Conditioning and the largest singular structure solar canopy of any car dealer in the United States to lower our emissions in every way possible. While we continue to research and develop new ways to reduce our carbon footprint even further, we hope that other automotive dealers across the country will follow our example and work to build a better, cleaner tomorrow.
Foundation Honda's overall dedication to greener designs allows for the inhabitants of Cleveland Heights, Ohio to dream of a cleaner future with reduced carbon emissions. The plan is to offset the carbon footprint for every new and used car they sell (offsets cover the first 10,000 miles of ownership) as well as the entire building, shuttle vehicles, and even their vehicles. The project seemed impossible, but with lots of work in the carbon reduction area, emissions were able to be replaced, neutralized, and eliminated. Foundation Honda just wants to be an active part of the community. They researched all of their impacts and did their best to reduce them with their redesigned dealership. The employee and customer satisfaction speaks for itself.
Overall, what does Carbon Neutral mean? It means higher customer satisfaction, proud employees, better service, and reliable cars. The entire project is an initiative that will build a better tomorrow. Foundation will continue to be a responsible environmental advocate as they prove that carbon neutrality is possible everywhere.
